This is a limited edition collection in a culmination of iron-based alloys, both terrestrial and extraterrestrial in origin. Crafted to form a lightweight limited-production blade that is not only exquisite in form; but also hardened, shaped and sharpened with care and precision for use in the hands of the professional or home chef. To create the blade, it is formulated from a unique house-made alloy which includes raw iron derived directly from the Muonionalusta meteorite. Before being discovered in Scandinavia in 1906 near the border of Sweden and Finland, the Muonionalusta is studied to have traveled through the solar system for over 4.56 billion years before striking Earth nearly one million years ago.

Forged under heat and pressure, the blade is fashioned out of high carbon steel to provide a durable cutting edge. In a precision-cut pattern in the blade forming both a function and artistic purpose; is designed to look that of an object born in ancient history, yet yield a mathematical geometry designed for food-release in a culinary setting. The handle resides from aviation-grade aluminum that has been smelted with meteoric iron to create a completely unique, otherworldly alloy to adorn the palm of your hand. Combining a piece of the stars, introducing “Vega”, named after the brightest star in the constellation 'Lyra', in a collection where imagination meets reality.
