The Muonionalusta meteorite, dating back 4.57 billion years, narrates the saga of our solar system's formation. Originating as a protoplanet, it experienced collisions and shed its outer layers over 4 billion years, evolving into an asteroid. Approximately 1 million years ago, it collided with Earth, with remnants discovered in 1906 near the Muonio River in Sweden.

Officially named Muonionalusta in 1910, it was studied to be one of the parent bodies of our solar system. With only about forty known fragments, this meteorite isn't just an ancient relic; it's a tangible piece of our cosmic genesis.
