In a culmination of iron-based alloys, both terrestrial and extraterrestrial in origin, only 15 of this limited edition blade will be made. Crafted to form a 204mm / 8" lightweight limited-production blade that is not only exquisite in form; but also hardened, shaped and sharpened with care and precision for use in the hands of the chef. To create the blade, it is formulated from a unique house-made alloy which includes raw iron derived directly from the Muonionalusta meteorite. Before being discovered in Scandinavia in 1906 near the border of Sweden and Finland, the Muonionalusta is studied to have traveled through the solar system for over 4.56 billion years before striking Earth nearly one million years ago.
Forged under heat and pressure, the blade is fashioned out of a pattern-welded “San-Mai” construction, and a “Stardust” meteoric alloy acting as the cutting edge; into a constellation that sees the bright, speckled pieces of meteorite running the length of the blade along edge, with the chaotic and energetic 15n20 cladding flowing alongside. Not only does the blade contain alloys from space, the handle resides from aviation-grade aluminum with percentile mixtures of meteoric iron to create a completely unique, otherworldly alloy to adorn the palm of your hand. Combining a piece of the stars, introducing “Interstellar” in a collection where reality meets imagination.
How to order
To place an order, simply purchase the item by though checkout. This is a pre-order shipment, and blades will be hand-crafted and produced upon order and arrive to your door within a 45 day period. Each blade is uniquely made with individual embellishments and pattern; the blade you receive will be near exact to the blade you see. Blade will include a signed Certificate Of Authenticity, care kit, and luxury package for safe keeping.
